Copper from Waste Printed Circuit Boards Was Effectively Bioleached Using Newly Isolated Microorganisms and Subsequently Recovered by Microbial Fuel Cell

چکیده

Two newly isolated bacterial strains were from activated sludge and identified as Coniochaeta fodinicola (C. fodinicola) Talaromyces barcinensis (T. barcinensis) by 16S rDNA. C. T. used to bioleach the copper waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) powder, which was obtained crushing sorting board substrate after removing components. Results showed that minimum maximum Cu2+ leaching rates for 3.9% 89.2%, respectively. The 20.6% 89.0%, bioleaching solution cathode liquid of a dual chamber microbial fuel cell (MFC), an X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern displayed in reduced using biological electricity generation.

A Review on Printed Circuit Boards Waste Recycling Technologies and Reusing of Recovered Nonmetallic Materials

From the use of renewable resources and environmental protection viewpoints, recycling of waste printed circuit boards (PCBs) receives wide concerns as the amounts of scrap PCBs increases dramatically In recent years there has been increasing concern about the growing volume of end of life electronics and the fact that much of it is consigned to landfill w ithout any attempt being made to recyc...

Recovery of copper and lead from waste printed circuit boards by supercritical water oxidation combined with electrokinetic process.

An effective and benign process for copper and lead recovery from waste printed circuit boards (PCBs) was developed. In the process, the PCBs was pre-treated in supercritical water, then subjected to electrokinetic (EK) process. Experimental results showed that supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) process was strong enough to decompose the organic compounds of PCBs, and XRD spectra indicated th...

LEACHING OF METALS FROM WASTE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS (WPCBs) USING SULFURIC AND NITRIC ACIDS

This study aims to understand the acid-leaching behavior of metals from 2 to 4 mm waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) containing 22.0% ± 1.1 Cu, 6.7% ± 0.2 Ca, 0.68% ± 0.02 Sn, 0.59 ± 0.01 % Pb, 2.71% ± 0.08 Al, 0.22% ± 0.01 Fe, etc.. Copper leaching was increased for sulfuric acid concentrations up to 1.2 mol/L and hydrogen peroxide concentrations of 10.0 vol% for a pulp density of 100 g/L at...

Recovery of Gold, Silver, Copper and Niobium from Printed Circuit Boards Using Leaching Column Technique

Nowadays, over 300 tons of Au are used in electronic equipment each year with other precious and strategic metals such as Ag, Pt, Pd, Cu, Nb, Ta, etc.. After the use-phase, the electronic devices become electronic waste (e-waste); consequently it is important to consider e-waste as a secondary supply for the recovery of these metals. This paper presents the recovery of Au, Ag, Cu and Nb from PC...

Recovery of Tin and Copper by Recycling of Printed Circuit Boards from Obsolete Computers

This paper presents the experimental results for the leaching of printed circuit boards (PCB) from obsolete computers for extracting and recovering tin and copper by means of leaching followed by precipitation. Printed circuit boards were dismantled, cut into small pieces, and fed into a cylinder mill. The powder obtained was leached by using the aqueous solutions 2.18N H2SO4, 2.18N H2SO4 + 3.0...
